One Beautiful Thought — Daaji, 2023-01-14

Four voices

Quran 2:15

— Hamidullah

[But] Allah mocks them and prolongs them in their transgression [while] they wander blindly.

— Sahih International

Matthew 18:12

— Louis Segond, 1910

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?

— King James Version

Bhagavad Gita 6:34

cha~nchalaM hi manaH kR^iShNa pramAthi balavad dR^iDham |
tasyAhaM nigrahaM manye vAyoriva suduShkaram

This Peace, derived from equanimity,
Made known by thee--I see no fixity
Therein, no rest, because the heart of men
Is unfixed, Krishna! rash, tumultuous,
Wilful and strong. It were all one, I think,
To hold the wayward wind, as tame man's heart.

— Edwin Arnold, 1900 (poetic rendering; passage located by content, Arnold does not number verses)

Whispers

Whisper of 2014-03-04, 10:00 — Babuji

— Message du Monde Lumineux (Babuji Maharaj)

Moving towards one's objective here below, as confidently and serenely as is possible in this world, is a strength, and it demonstrates a deep aspiration to attain the goal. Once a soul is thus committed, it does not turn back. No matter what happens, its motivation remains the same and increasingly expresses itself over time.

Some of our abhyasis take pauses and return one day, more motivated than ever; certain experiences lead them to better understand the subtleties of this approach, whose group activities are simple and unassuming. The important thing is to grasp the efficacy of the system. The work is done gradually, earning 'points', one might say, and leaving an indelible mark on this sacred organ. Is the heart not the seat of the soul? This is a striking discovery to make. By delving into the laws pertaining to the heart, human consciousness gradually becomes aware of the truth.

Human beings are a mystery to themselves. Science is making progress, but the time has not yet come when the full truth can be revealed in its reality. Everything is much more subtle than it seems. The great mystics of the past already knew what has not yet been revealed to human beings of today. Everything in its own time; probing too deeply into the truth could, at the current level of evolution, rebound against humanity. Many very well-known sites on this Earth will one day reveal aspects about which humans have no idea today. Material progress is not everything. What is essential is yet

to come; one day, the full truth will unfold to humans, who will then take a significant step forward. Many beings here below have reached a satisfactory level of elevation, allowing them to address these issues with great lucidity. To progress in knowledge while advancing spiritually is the best way to transform one's life in a positive manner. May all be motivated and sufficiently interiorised, and one day the divine goal will be attained.
