Quran 7:176

Et si Nous avions voulu, Nous l'aurions élevé par ces mêmes enseignements, mais il s'inclina vers la terre et suivit sa propre passion. Il est semblable à un chien qui halète si tu l'attaques, et qui halète aussi si tu le laisses. Tel est l'exemple des gens qui traitent de mensonges Nos signes. Eh bien, raconte le récit. Peut-être réfléchiront-ils!

And if We had willed, we could have elevated him thereby, but he adhered [instead] to the earth and followed his own desire. So his example is like that of the dog: if you chase him, he pants, or if you leave him, he [still] pants. That is the example of the people who denied Our signs. So relate the stories that perhaps they will give thought.

LE CŒUR a ses raisons : voilà qui est évident, dans notre propos. Être au service, c’est montrer une complète disponibilité. Acceptée comme telle, elle porte ses meilleurs fruits.

Être au service, c’est savoir écouter l’appel du cœur, même s’il

n’est pas tout à fait conforme aux plans prévus. L’homme fait des projets, Dieu en dispose autrement, à plus forte raison lorsqu’il est engagé dans un processus de service.

Les lois divines sont infiniment subtiles, elles déjouent toutes les tentatives ne leur correspondant pas. Accepter cette guidance, c’est progresser dans la voie de l’Esprit en s’adaptant aux circonstances, même

si parfois elles sont déroutantes et non-conformes aux prévisions.

L’être humain programme sa vie, et le destin la cisèle à sa manière. Le chercheur engagé dans la voie note ces différences et il les accepte, en considérant l’intervention divine dans son cheminement.

De vie en vie s’élabore l’être subtil, dans la perspective de sa fusion avec l’Ultime, d’où la nécessité d’une écoute et d’une

adhésion complètes à ce que réserve une incarnation.

La présente est à considérer avec soin : saisir cette opportunité est sage et montre la détermination de l’aspirant à s’élever. Au sein de notre voie, il en a les moyens ; ils lui sont donnés, à la condition qu’il en prenne vraiment conscience et qu’il œuvre dans ce but. Nous l’aidons, comme tous les frères et sœurs nous

ayant fait confiance et attendant de leur pratique les meilleurs résultats.

Chacun avance à son rythme, [et] tous ont leur chance. Les voies de Dieu sont insondables, mais elles répondent à l’aspiration sincère d’une âme à s’élever. »

The heart has its reasons: this is obvious in our comments. To be of service is to demonstrate complete availability. When it is accepted as such, it bears its best fruit.

To be of service is to know how to listen to the call of the heart, even if it is not entirely consistent with one's anticipated plans. Humans make plans, God has other plans, even more so when humans are engaged in a process of service. The divine laws are infinitely subtle; they thwart all attempts that do not comply with them. By accepting this guidance, one progresses in the way of the Spirit while adapting to circumstances, even if they are sometimes disconcerting and not in accordance with expectations. Human beings plan their lives and destiny carves their lives in its own way. Seekers engaged in the path note these differences, and accept them by considering the divine intervention in their journeys.

From life to life, the subtle being is developed with a view to its merging with the Ultimate, hence the need for listening and complete adherence to what an incarnation has in store. The current incarnation has to be considered carefully. Seizing this opportunity is a sign of wisdom and shows the determination of the aspirant to rise. Within our way, all can find the necessary means; these are provided on the condition that one actually becomes aware of the means and works accordingly. We help them, as we do all the brothers and sisters who trust us and expect the best results from their

practice. Each one advances at their own pace; they all have their own chance. The ways of God are unfathomable, but they answer a soul's sincere aspiration to rise.
